The new Tsang Neonatal Nutrition

In effect, this is the third edition of the Tsang, Uauy, Koletzko, Zlotkin series that became the "Bible" of neonatal nutrition updated with 2014 expert consensus recommendations, Since the last edition of Tsang was published in 2005, Dr Tsang has retired and Koletzko and Uauy have added Brenda Poindexter to the editorial list. As Dr. S Rautava wrote in his Book Review published in Acta Paediatrica earlier this year (Acta Paediatrica. 2015;104:213-215): "The arrival of a very low birthweight (VLBW) preterm infant is a nutritional emergency, and there are great variations in the nutritional care that these fragile infants receive in different countries and neonatal units and even from individual neonatologists. An excellent new book on current state-of-the-art practices in nutritional care for preterm infants has been edited by Doctors Koletzko, Poindexter and Uauy, who are world authorities in the field. The book consists of 22 easy-to-read and comprehensive chapters, which cover most, if not all, aspects of preterm nutrition. The authors of the chapters represent an impressive array of international experts from North America, Europe, South America, Israel and South Africa."
