A Must Read!

Pat Brooks' frankness,her writing craft, her story of how smart, successful women can fall into a seductive trap--it all
makes me see her bravery. I am so impressed.
This book is a must for young women who get blinded by a silk suit, sweet talk and fear.
So glad her third husband came along to be a true partner! It's wonderful how the author turned her life around and has assisted so many others to follow a positive path.

Her brutal honesty with herself serves as a strong model for all who live in fear and denial, losing all control of the life that they were meant to live. Not only does Patricia chronicle the roadmap of her quest for freedom but also provides excellent resources for addictions and Pos-Tramatic Stress Disorder for others. "Three Husbands and a Thousand Boyfriends" shows us all that no matter how long we travel down the wrong road that it is never too late to turn around.

Engaging and inspirational

First I must say that I do not normally choose memoirs. This book's title caught my eye but it was the writing and the story that captured my interest. Love addiction isn't something you hear about but domestic abuse is. The story is one which every woman should read, even if you don't think you've been in the author's position. It's a heartfelt, honest look at her past which will keep you reading to the very last page.
